Born into an artistic family in Hanoi, Nhật Lê spent seven years in Paris pursuing photography before returning to Vietnam with the vision of becoming a creative artist, from photography to graphic design. He immersed himself in personal projects, never intending to pursue wedding photography—until it found him, quite by chance, through a few requests from friends:
“I know you take beautiful photos. I want my wedding pictures to feel as artistic as your fine art work. You understand me, and you understand our love story—so you will be able to tell it like a film.”
That simple invitation perfectly captured Nhật’s philosophy for a true work of photography:

39 Studio was founded by Nhật Lê and his partner, with the desire to tell love stories through photography that is authentic, profound, gentle, and refined. 39 Studio seeks out angles and fleeting details that may seem small but reveal deep layers of meaning: like shooting a pre-wedding at 2 a.m. in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, because we knew the bride was born there and loved this land deeply—and only at night or dawn does the city show its true beauty, as it did when we were children. Or waiting for the golden hour on a Phu Quoc beach, when the sun flares lit up the bride’s eyes as she read her vows. Or the groom’s anticipation before the first look at his bride. Even when a seaside wedding is met with rain, the celebration continues, and the rain itself becomes part of the romance and unpredictability woven into each frame.
Art is the meeting point of emotion, technique, and creativity—and 39 Studio is built on this foundation to create wedding photographs of true artistic value.
